Following the addition of Château d’Esclans, the leading Provence Rosé winery, to Moët Hennessy’s portfolio of wines and spirits, Edward Dillon becomes the distributor of the Château’s Whispering Angel, Rock Angel and Château D’ESCLANS Collection of wines in the Republic of Ireland.
Moët Hennessy, as the majority shareholder, will work alongside Sacha Lichine, President and Founder of Château d’Esclans, who retains 45% ownership and will continue to oversee the estate while managing its future development and sealing a long-term alliance with Moët Hennessy
Andy O’Hara, Edward Dillon CEO, commented: “The addition of Château d’Esclans and its enviable range of wines to the Moët Hennessy portfolio is a wonderful opportunity for Edward Dillon. Sacha has helped to revolutionise Provence Rosé wines, creating a high-quality collection which is known and loved across the world. As distributors in Ireland, we will bring increased accessibility and value within the range to Irish stockists and consumers.”
Whispering Angel (RSP €25.00) is the brand that stimulated much of the rosé lifestyle phenomenon while making an outstanding contribution towards establishing rosé in today’s top shelf drinks landscape; Rock Angel (RSP €40.00) bears a more complex and structured taste profile than Whispering Angel bringing it in into a more premium realm giving consumers a wine that is fabulous as an aperitif and one which is food driven; while the Château D’ESCLANS Collection, Château d’Esclans (RSP €44.00), Les Clans (RSP €71.00) and Garrus (RSP €120.00), is the key collection for connoisseurs of Provence Rosé.
