The Roe & Co Spirit of Reinvention bartender competition gets underway this week, with bartenders all over Ireland invited to be in with a chance of becoming an honorary Roe & Co Brand Ambassador for one year.
Entrants to the competition simply need to upload an image of their delicious Roe & Co highball serve to their Instagram wall, listing the ingredients and method in the caption. Along with this, they should tag @roeandcowhiskey and use the hashtag #spirittoreinvent. The serve should evoke the ‘spirit of reinvention’, staying true to Roe & Co’s values of modern Irish hospitality and the closing date for entries is 8thMarch 2019.
The top five serves across Ireland will go through to city heats taking place across Dublin, Cork, Galway and Belfast during the first two weeks of March. Each regional winner will then be invited to compete in the Roe & Co Spirit of Reinvention Final held in Cork and Dublin on 14th and 15th April 2019.
The winner’s prize of becoming an honorary Roe & Co Brand Ambassador includes four paid events throughout the year, one of which will be outside of Ireland. The winning cocktail will also be added as a special to the Roe & Co Distillery menu for a limited period of time.
Roe & Co is made from the finest hand-selected stocks of Irish malt and grain whiskies and aged in bourbon casks. It has the signature smoothness of Irish Whiskey with remarkable depth of flavour – a luxuriously smooth blend, with a perfect harmony between the intense fruitiness of the malt and the mellow creaminess of the grain whiskies.
The much-anticipated Roe & Co Distillery will also open later this Spring at the site of the former Guinness Power Station on James’s Street in Dublin, which is being regenerated as a new urban distillery and visitor experience.
